Integrated Pest Management

It is a fact that every application of synthetic pesticides slows down the growth rate of plants considerably. Where others spray, our smart strategies can even involve the collection of larger insects with big damaging potential. At Tropiflora we use mainly organic agents such as garlic, neem and soaps with great success. These natural products do not harm beneficial organisms with big appetite for the targeted pests. Soil born problems such as fungal infections are fought by application of cleaning steam and use of Trichoderma. Our hollistic approach results in abstinence from many common pesticides which makes our greens free from residues of problematic agents such as Neonicotinoids and Acephate.
